Arthur “Roak” Brown
Arthur “Roak” Brown, 79, passed away peacefully December 13th of 2024 at Portsmouth Hospital surrounded by his family.
He was raised in Hollis, NH as one of the original farming families and later moving to Nashua to raise his family and opened Arthur’s Barbershop in Milford, NH.
Arthur is predeceased by his wife, Claudette (Paquin) Brown with whom he shared 50 years of marriage and traveling to their homes in Clearwater, FL and at Point Sebago in Casco, ME. Together they have two daughters Christine and husband, Edwin Bartlett of Casco, Maine and Kimberly David and husband, Paul of Haverhill, M A. His greatest achievement was his grandchildren, Alexis and Andrew Frost and Lauren and Lilah David.
Arthur was proud to serve his country in the US Army during the Vietnam War. He was a Combat Medic in the 101st Airborne earning two Purple Hearts and a Bronze star among many other accolades.
He is also survived by brothers David and wife Helen, Glenn and wife Judith, Paul and wife Gail, George and wife Donna, Mark Brown. Sisters. Alethea Chase, Edith Brennan, Catherine Gardner and Betty Lutz. He was predeceased by Eleanor Gillette, Natalie Brown, and brothers Henry, Richard and Laurie.
Relatives and friends are invited to Arthur’s visitation on THURSDAY, December 19th from 5 until 7 PM at ROCHETTE FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATION SERVICES, 21 Kinsley Street, Nashua. His graveside service and presentation of military honors will be held on FRIDAY, December 20th at 9 AM at the New Hampshire State Veteran Cemetery, 110 Daniel Webster Hwy, Boscawen, NH.
