Robert E. Rollins

Robert E. Rollins, 82, of Wolfeboro, NH, passed away peacefully in his sleep on December 15, 2024, after a long battle with cancer.

Robert was born on September 25,1942 to Perley E. Rollins and Rita G. Rollins of Nashua, NH. He was the oldest of their five children.

After graduating from Nashua High School in 1960, Robert enlisted in the United States Air Force where he earned the rank of Sergeant in 1962 and served in the Strategic Air Command. He was a member of the 2052 Communications Squadron and worked primarily in Radio Communications Equipment Repair. He served overseas and earned many awards and medals before being honorably discharged in 1968.

Robert met his future wife, Patricia, in 1968, married in 1969, and settled down in Goffstown, NH. They were blessed with two daughters, Laurie. A. Paradis and Cheryl L. Darity.

In 1975, while living in Goffstown, Robert worked together with other volunteers to build Fire Station 17. This brought much needed emergency services to the East side of Goffstown. There, he served as a part-time volunteer fire fighter and E.M.T. Other volunteer efforts included The Knights of Columbus and The American Legion.

Some of Robert’s interests and hobbies included music, record collecting, photography, traveling, and camping.

Robert is predeceased by his parents, Perley and Rita Rollins, and his sisters, Nancy Bilodeau and Lisa Rollins. He is survived by his loving wife, Patricia Rollins, his daughters, Laurie Paradis and Cheryl Darity, his two brothers, Lester Rollins and Mark Rollins, seven grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life will be held at St. Katherine Drexel Church in Alton, NH in the Spring. The date is yet to be announced. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to Cornerstone VNA, which was of great help to the Rollins family in their time of need. The family would also like to thank everyone for their assistance and prayers.
