Richard E. St. Louis

Richard E. St. Louis, 77, of Nashua, NH, passed away on Tuesday, January 7, 2025 at the Edith Nourse Rogers Memorial Veterans Hospital in Bedford, MA.

He was born November 17, 1947 in Lowell, MA, son of the late Gerard St. Louis and Claire (Eno) St. Louis Therrien. He was also predeceased by a brother, Donald St. Louis.

Richard was the beloved husband of Catherine St. Louis of Nashua with whom he shared 57 years of marriage.

He was a proud USMC Veteran of the Vietnam War and was a longtime employee of the Bedford VA Medical Center, from which he retired.

Richard was raised in Lowell, MA and enlisted into the USMC during Vietnam. He was a combat veteran and was a recipient of the Purple Heart, National Defense Service Medal, Vietnamese Service Medal, Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal, and was a Lifetime Member of the DAV.

He was an avid bowler, member of the YMCA, and participated in the National Golden Age Games. He was also a big fan of the New England Patriots.

Richard’s Catholic faith was very important to him. He was a parishioner of the Immaculate Conception Church in Nashua, where he sang with the choir for many years. Above all, his most cherished time was that spent with his family who he loved deeply and was so very proud. He and Catherine made a great team together.

Besides Catherine, Richard is survived by his two sons; Rev. Richard St. Louis and COL Guy St. Louis and his wife Tamara, two grandchildren; Benjamin and Briana, two brothers; Andrew St. Louis and Raymond St. Louis.
