Susan (Langlois) Limpert
Susan (Langlois) Limpert of Hudson, New Hampshire passed peacefully on January 14, 2025 at the age of 78, at home surrounded by her family. Born in New Britain, Connecticut and raised in Southington, Connecticut, the fifth child of Gerard and Rubina (Titus) Langlois, she was a force to be reckoned with. After high school, she joined the U.S. Marines where she met her husband of 59 years, James Limpert. Shortly thereafter, James re-enrolled in the U.S. Army and she was a military wife for over twenty plus years, with them being stationed in Illinois, Massachusetts, and Pennsylvania. She was an accomplished salesperson and, later in life, worked at and retired from the U.S. Post Office.
Susan was an avid collector of many items, including Beanie Babies, Department 56 villages, Elvis Presley statues, dolls, M&M items and so so so much more. She was very fond of her two furry roommates, Molly and Buddie, who provided constant watch and companionship for the last couple of years.
The family would like to thank not only the Veterans Administration (Guardian Angels Senior Services of Bedford, NH) but the Brookhaven Hospice of New Hampshire who assisted in our ability to care for her at home. Their staff(s) provided not only respite care for her husband but kind and compassionate care of Susan during her last year.
She is survived by her husband of 59 years, James A. Limpert, a retired veteran of both the U.S. Army and the U.S. Marines, and her children, Renee Lubinski and her husband William of Hudson, NH and Rhonda Woods and her husband Stephen of New Milford, CT; along with six grandchildren who were her pride and joy: Caitlyn Jussaume and her husband Steven of Litchfield, NH; Zachary Lubinski and his partner, Kelly Mahoney of Salem, NH; Savannah Woods and her partner, Chris Fulcher, of Las Vegas, NV; Matthew Lubinski of South Boston, MA; Connor Woods and his partner, Emilia Macri, of Hamden, CT; and Sierra Woods of New Milford, CT; two great-grandchildren Finnley Jussaume and Tessa Jussaume; two furry children, Molly and Buddie, one furry grandpuppy, Kiera Woods, and two furry great grandpuppies, Sven Jussaume and Clarke Mahoney-Lubinski. She is also survived by a brother, (retired) Lieutenant Colonel James Langlois; a sister, Nancy Sabadosa and her husband Joseph; sister-in-law Sue Langlois; brother-in-law Duane Limpert, brother-in-law Gerald Limpert and his wife, Christine (Mills) Limpert, brother-in-law Aloysius Limpert, sister-in-law Charlotte Wampler and her husband Darryl Wampler; along with many nieces and nephews.
