Gene Anson Cushman

Gene Anson Cushman, 90, of Merrimack New Hampshire passed away on January 19, 2025, at Greystone Farm at Salem surrounded by his family.

He was born in Taunton, MA on December 19, 1934, to the late Theodore and Christine (Knowlton) Cushman. Gene was a graduate of Taunton High School. He then went on to serve in the U.S. Navy.

Gene had a long career in electronics manufacturing both at Sanders Associates and Kollsman before starting his own successful company, EPTAC.

In his free time Gene enjoyed singing with St. James Methodist Church Choir, Nashua Choral Society and the Barnstormers. He also enjoyed acting with local performers. Gene was an avid sports enthusiast. He was active with the United Methodist Men and contributed many hours to the church. History and genealogy were two lifelong passions. What he loved to do the most was to spend time with his family. His wife Elaine was his true partner in life. His devotion to her and to their faith was immeasurable.

Along with his parents, Gene was pre-deceased by his brothers Frederick Cushman and Theodore Cushman and his sisters Pauline Champagne and Ruth Byram.

Gone, but not forgotten, Gene is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Elaine (Clare) Cushman; his three sons, Doug Cushman (David Guilmette), Jeff Cushman (Linda Tremblay), and Craig Cushman (Kristen). His grandchildren; Nathan Cushman (Meredith), Owen Cushman (Emy), Brooke Gregson (Jacob), and Rachyl Cushman. He is also survived by two great-grandchildren: Lainey Cushman and Oakley Cushman

Calling hours will be held at the Rivet Funeral Home, 425 Daniel Webster Highway, Merrimack, NH on Saturday, February 8, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
