Norbert Weinert, born in Wisconsin on April 21, 1932, to Edward Weinert and Lillian Kaiser, passed away peacefully on Friday, February 28, 2025, after a long-drawn illness. He is predeceased by his beloved siblings, Russell and Donald Weinert, Ellen Meyer, and Carol Tonnon, as well as his cherished daughter, Carrie Wronka.
Norbert began his professional journey as a Systems Engineer with Sanders Associates (now BAE) in Milwaukee, WI. A life-changing assignment in Nashua, NH, introduced him to his wife, Evelyn Baltazar. An avid Green Bay Packers fan in his youth, Norbert later adopted the Boston sports scene, cheering for the Patriots, Celtics, and Red Sox with equal enthusiasm.
His passion for music found a home with the Granite Statesmen barbershop chorus. He treasured the opportunities to travel across the country and even to Germany and The Netherlands during competitions, forging meaningful, lifelong friendships along the way. Thursdays held a special place in his heart, as he eagerly anticipated his weekly lunches with his cherished “Thursday buddies.”
