Holly Ruth Wallenstein
Holly Ruth Wallenstein, 68, died February 25 of natural causes at home in Concord. She was born December 29, 1956 at Concord Hospital. Holly did not allow her disabilities to prevent her from making significant contributions to her communities. She was employed by an area agency as a mail courier for more than a decade, and for many years she volunteered walking dogs for the Nashua Humane Society. For most of her adult life Holly enjoyed adaptive snow and water skiing, wild carnival rides, and other adventurous activities. She was an extraordinary teacher to anyone willing to share her experiences and her language. She will always be remembered for her hand clapping and her infectious laughter.
Holly was predeceased by her parents Crandall R. and R. Carol Wallenstein of Concord, and by a sister and brother-in-law Nancy and Eaton Clapp of Salisbury, NH. She is survived by her sister and long time caregiver Kathryn and sister Faith of Concord; brothers Peter and his wife Sookhan of Blacksburg, Virginia, Ckris of Bennington, Andrew and his wife Linda of Jaffrey, and Mark and wife Jennifer of Canterbury as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. A celebration of Holly’s life will be held at a later date at the convenience of the family.
