Virginia “Ginny” Anne (Lavoie) Robinson

Virginia “Ginny” Anne (Lavoie) Robinson, a longtime resident of Nashua, New Hampshire, passed away after a brief illness on March 27, 2025, at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston. She was 75 years old. Born on September 17, 1949, in York Harbor, Maine, Ginny was the daughter of Hermas and Vivian (Downer) Lavoie. She graduated from Nashua High School in 1968 and married Edward Lee Robinson on April 26, 1969. They shared a loving marriage of nearly 56 years.
Over the years, Ginny held many titles–devoted wife, dedicated educator, loyal friend–but the one she was most comfortable with was Mom. She poured her heart into raising her children, Ryan and Shelley, and later found immense joy in being a grandmother to Blake, Colin, and Raymond.
Ginny dedicated 37 years to the Nashua School System, working in several local schools but best remembered for her many years at Elm Street Middle School. She cared deeply about the students and staff she worked with, always ready with a helping hand and a kind word.
A dedicated animal advocate, Ginny was passionate about supporting shelters and leading rescue organizations, working tirelessly to ensure the well-being of animals in need. She also loved volunteering for Immaculate Conception’s youth basketball program, where she found joy in encouraging young athletes and contributing to the community that meant so much to her son. In her free time, she enjoyed gardening, spending time with family and friends, and traveling to visit loved ones. Her generosity and kindness touched many lives, both human and animal alike.
Ginny was predeceased by her parents, Hermas and Vivian Lavoie; her sister, Sharon Kempton; and her many cherished four-legged “children” who brought her so much happiness over the years.
She is survived by her husband, Edward; her children and their spouses, Ryan and Jana Robinson, and Shelley and Corey Vessels; her grandsons, Blake and Colin Vessels, and Raymond Robinson; her siblings and their spouses, Janet and Wally Collins, Doreen and Jon Cindrich, Dana Lavoie and Kellie Wardman, and Lee Kempton; and her nieces and nephews, Cheryl Bouley, Jessica and Erica Collins, Kayla Roldan, Cole and Logan Cindrich.
Ginny’s kindness, warmth, and unwavering love for her family and the causes she cared about will be deeply missed.
