Barbara Adeline Bizier

No words can truly define those precious women–our mothers–who give us all the love anyone could possibly give, and do so unconditionally. Barbara Adeline Bizier was the epitome of such immeasurable love.
Born in 1951 in Malden, Massachusetts, she entered this world a shy, angelic spirit who eventually settled in Hollis, New Hampshire, in 1981 with her husband Jim and their four boys. Barbara was a hardworking mother who held a full-time job, dedicated countless hours to volunteering, and never missed a single game her boys played. Whether it was soccer, football, or baseball, she was always the loudest–and toughest–voice cheering from the sidelines.
Her boys were her life. Jim would later share stories of how, at family gatherings, when it was just the two of them, she could often be found in another room talking about each of her sons individually, always expressing how proud she was of them. Together, she and Jim raised their sons with strong values–respect for the women in their lives, the importance of knowing how to cook, clean, and manage a home, and, above all, a deep dedication to family and friends. Barbara was endlessly kind to everyone she met. She had a gift for making people feel seen, heard, and welcome in her home. She ended everything she said with a smile.
At home, she and Jim ran a tight ship. In the spring, she always found time to care for her beloved daylilies, black-eyed Susans, bleeding hearts, and the fragrant lilac tree in the front yard. She stayed active with her boys, and the family was often seen skiing at New England’s many resorts, later soaking up the sun each July during their annual week at the Sea Latch in York Beach, Maine. Barbara was a beautiful soul who lived a gracious, loving life. Now she begins the next part of her journey–reunited with her beloved husband Jim, her late son Brian, her mother Muriel, and her father Charles.
Barbara is survived by her three sons: James Jr. and his wife Louisa, Stephen, and Andrew; her three sisters; and her seven beautiful grandchildren.
Lots of love to you, Barbara Adeline–the unconditional one.
