HS Roundup: HB, Milford volleyball win; Cougars top seed in Division 3 soccer

The regular season is over.

Yes, the local high school sports of soccer and volleyball ended their schedules and tournament play will commence next week. Who’s in and who’s out we’ll know for sure on Monday, but here’s a look at Friday’s results and how they may impact things:

GIRLS VOLLEYBALL

WINDHAM 3, NASHUA SOUTH 0

The Panthers fall to the Jaguars 15-25, 21-25, 18-25. Mia Suljic collected eight kills and eight digs with Joelle Primo adding four kills and two blocks. South finishes the season at 13-5.

GOFFSTOWN 3, MERRIMACK 0

The Tomahawks finish the season with three straight losses by the scores of 13-25, 23-25, 16-25. Amelia Walker had seven kills, Rachel Flett tallied six kills and Noor Eldeib collected 16 assists and three kills.

Merrimack sits with a record of 12-6.

MILFORD 3, MANCHESTER WEST 0

The Spartans defeat West 25-13, 25-11, 25-7. Piper Greenhalgh (nine aces, 19 digs) recorded her 500th career dig in the match. Other key contributors were Frankie Greene (seven kills, four digs), Abby Kulis (seven kills, 10 digs), Beth Brooks (three kills, two blocks, four digs), Savannah Watson (seven aces, kill, seven digs) and Emma Desrochers (three aces, two digs, 11 assists). Milford enters the playoffs with a record of 14-2.

HOLLIS BROOKLINE 3, LONDONDERRY 0

The Cavs sweep the Lancers 25-13, 25-17, 25-23. Maggie Noble (17 kills, four aces), Kate Berrigan (eight kills, three aces), Lolly Adair (six kills, three aces) and Anika Carlson (six kills, two aces) led the locals. HB sits at 13-5 entering the playoffs.

BOYS SOCCER

MERRIMACK 4, WINNACUNNET 0

The Tomahawks (9-4-3) end the season with a four game winning streak after shutting out the Warriors.

Noah Morrison, Kaiden Martin, Adrian Talbot and Ben Fong each found the back of the net. Connor Boutin was in goal.

Merrimack ends the regular season with a record of 9-4-3.

CAMPBELL 3, PELHAM 0

The Cougars end the season with a 14-1-1 record after a shutout against the Pythons, and will be the top seed entering the Division II tourney next week. This is Campbell’s first season in that division, having moved up after capturing the Division III title last fall.

SOUHEGAN 2, BOW 2

The Sabers finish their regular season with a tie and a record of 4-6-6, and that unofficially should qualify them as the 11th seed in the 11-team Division II tourney that starts next week.

GIRLS SOCCER

MILFORD 0, LEBANON 0

The Spartans tally another tie in the column as they finish at 4-5-7.

CAMPBELL 2, MONADNOCK 2

The Cougars sit at 12-2-2 after a tie with Monadnock ends the regular season.

WINNACUNNET 2, MERRIMACK 0

The Tomahawks have another shutout loss and end their season at 4-11-1.
