HS Roundup: BG stuns Trinity; North girls get first win
It’s back to school, and back to hoop nights.
Tuesday was a big one, as just about every local team was in action, led by Bishop Guertin which got a big boys basketball win while both the Nashua North, Hollis Brookline, and Milford boys and girls hoop teams came out on top.
And the fun started in the afternoon when the Nashua South Co-Ed Unified team came out with a win.

BOYS BASKETBALL
BISHOP GUERTIN 61, TRINITY 55
Connor McGowan put together a great night ending with 23 points to lead the Cardinals (2-3) past Trinity to end their three-game skid and hand the Pioneers their first loss.
Eli Youssef had a good night as well totaling 12 points. The Cards jumpd out to an 18-9 first quarter lead and were up 31-23 at the half and 50-38 entering the fourth quarter. The Pioneers cut the deficit to four late but BG, which hosts Spaulding on Thursday, prevailed.
NASHUA NORTH 62, CONCORD 34
The Titans won their fourth straight game overall, and improved to 2-3 in Division I with a resounding win.
North will host Goffstown on Friday.
HOLLIS BROOKLINE 59, SANBORN 54
The Cavs (3-2) win the battle against Sanborn on Tuesday. Noah Natalino scored 13 points, Alton Williams had 12 and Y’arie Ramas chipped in 11. HB visits Bishop Brady on Friday.
CAMPBELL 64, ST. THOMAS 52
Jack Breton returns with 18 points and eight rebounds to lead the Cougars (4-1) past the reigning champs. Luke Delia (13 points), Matthew Haley (10 points, four steals), Cayden DeLeon (10 points, nine assists) and Logan Rice (10 points, 12 rebounds) had major contributions on both ends of the floor. Campbell hosts Conant on Friday.
MILFORD 30, LEBANON 29 (OT)
Ethan Szopa and Tyler Constable scored 11 and 10 points respectively in the Spartans overtime win. Milford visits Merrimack Valley on Friday.
HANOVER 52, SOUHEGAN 34
The Sabers drop their second straight game moving their record to 3-2. Max Hayes tallied 13 points. Souhegan visits ConVal on Friday.
GIRLS BASKETBALL
NASHUA NORTH 66, CONCORD 39
After a slow start to begin the game the Titans (1-3) found another gear scoring 46 second half points. Lily Small (15 points), Kayla Dahl (11 points), Madelyn Tino (10 points) and Aidan Walker (nine points) led the offensive unit. North visits Goffstown on Friday.
BISHOP GUERTIN 58, TRINITY 20
Holly Dufoe led the way with 18 points in the Cardinals (2-2) dominant win. Jas Rosario added 12 points for the locals. BG visits Spaulding on Thursday.
WILTON-LYNDEBOROUGH 36, MASCENIC 23
Kelsey Crouse recorded 20 points to help the Warriors improve to 4-2. Maddy Labrecque had seven points. WLC hosts Epping on Friday.

The Cavs (3-2) outpaced Sanborn throughout the game to grab a win. Ana O’Donnell (16 points), Samantha Disco (10 points, five rebounds) and Anika Carlson (eight points, five rebounds) led the locals. HB hosts Bishop Brady on Friday.
MILFORD 55, LEBANON 39
The Spartan (3-1) captains steered the ship in a dominant road win against Lebanon. Avery Fuller and Ellianna Nassy scored 13 points apiece, Claire Cote had 12 and Shea Hansen added 11. Milford hosts Merrimack Valley on Friday.
ST. THOMAS 61, CAMPBELL 19
The Cougars fall to 1-4. Zoe Bourque scored six points with Pipe Odum and Katie Fluet scoring four points each. Campbell visits Conant on Friday.
SOUHEGAN 39, HANOVER 30
The Sabers (2-3) get their second win in a row after battling Hanover. Zofia Rosenfield tallied 12 points, Caroline Drum collected 10 and Julia Skelton had nine. Souhegan visits ConVal on Friday.
CO-ED UNIFIED BASKETBALL
NASHUA SOUTH 47, BEDFORD 44
It was a game of runs but the Panthers, who were down 30-20, cut the deficit to 34-33 after three quarters and outlasted the Bulldogs in the fourth.
Sergio Rochette had a great day with 24 points while Hunter St. Onge had 11 plus two blocks to lead the Panthers. Ben McDonough had 10 to lead Bedford.
