Maye, Allen may put on show that will likely fit the Bills

Ah, it’s time to shuffle off to Buffalo for the New England Patriots.
It will be cold. Maybe snowy. But with all the hype, don’t be confused: We will be able to tell the difference between the Bills’ Josh Allen and New England’s Drake Maye.
Allen is on an MVP pace and the Bills are now the perrenial rulers of the AFC East. You rememer how that felt, Patriots fans.
But we know Maye is on the track of taking New England to big things, but now is not the time. And you wonder if Jerod Mayo is glad he took the Patriots coaching job or not. The criticism is getting out of hand; that’s what happens when you lose.
So try to enjoy today’s game. Perhaps Allen will bring out the best in Maye and they will duke it out. Defensively neither team is going to knock you out.
But there will be something to talk about today in Buffalo. There always is when these two get together.
Meanwhile, it took 15 weeks, but we finally ended up with perfection. Huzzah! Now how can we improve on that? Consistency, so here goes:
Meanwhile, it took 15 weeks, but we finally ended up with perfection. Huzzah! Now how can we improve on that? Consistency, so here goes:
BILLS 27, PATRIOTS 17
This could be closer than expected. While the Bills should be able to put up points on the board, we expect that with all the uproar over Patriots play calling, they’ll unleash Drake Maye against a sub-par Buffalo defense. But Maye doesn’t have many options as far as receivers.
BENGALS 33, BROWNS 14
The two best AFC games were Saturday, so we pick the leftovers. Cincinnati still has life, and the Browns don’t.
COLTS 17, TITANS 7
Oh if only either team had a decent offense, which means quarterback. Colts are home, in the Dome, and Anthony Richardson can run better than any Titan. Advantage Indy, also still barely alive.
EAGLES 24, COMMANDERS 21
Close one, and it will be fun watching Washington QB Jayden Daniels trying to escape the Eagles pass rush as he was sacked eight times last week. We are saying it here now: Philly is going to the Super Bowl.
SEAHAWKS 27, VIKINGS 24
A shootout in Seattle. Every time you count out Geno Smith and the Seahawks, they rise back to live again. They need this one more than the Vikes.
RAMS 27, JETS 17
Ah, two former NFC North QBs renewing a rivalry with other teams, Aaron Rodgers and Matthew Stafford. The Jets defense has been incredibly sub par, we figure Sean McVay will be able to scheme his way to a win much more so than the lamebrains on the Gang Green side.
DOLPHINS 23, NINERS 16
Oh, how the mighty have fallen. Neither will make the playoffs, which is certainly a surprise. But injuries, etc. take their toll. When it’s close, we’ll go with Tua.
